“Winning Rural Areas for Labour”
The Scarborough & Whitby Constituency Labour Party is organising an on-line (Zoom) information and discussion meeting on improving campaigning in rural areas. The meeting is on March 4th 2021, 7.00-8.00pm and will be led by Liz Pole from Tiverton and Honiton Labour Party in Devon. Liz is very active in the national Labour Coast and Country group and, with other members, has developed innovative ideas for rural campaigning.
Liz will talk about how members have successfully used their “Labour Neighbours” scheme to:
- build grass roots networks
- provide opportunities for members to engage with the Party and organise around local issues
- make the Labour Party visible at ward level
- use Community Mapping to listen to local residents
This meeting is open to Labour Party members only and pre-registration is required. To register, please send an email to Jim Pearse (CLP Policy Officer) at the address below. You will then be sent details of how to join in the events.
