When Jeremy Corbyn visited Scarborough and Whitby constituency this month, he was impressed by the enthusiasm of the crowd of activists who came out to hear him speak. He asked us to be ‘battle-ready’ for a potential early general election this autumn.
Our parliamentary candidate Hugo Fearnley has been out with local teams knocking on doors in all weathers, listening to the concerns of ordinary people. He is engaging with community groups and businesses across the whole constituency – and took Jeremy to meet some of them.
Our summer campaign now continues, with a focus on speaking to people in Scarborough and Whitby’s rural communities. Labour Party members, please keep an eye on your inbox for Hugo’s messages about where and when we’re out campaigning near you. You’ll be very welcome to join in!
