A little bit about myself: I’m married to Lynne with three grown up children. A Northstead lad, growing up here, attending Northstead School and working at Plaxtons as a Coach Builder for 40 years before taking early retirement in 2000. I have been a Scarborough Borough Councillor for 30 years, and a North Yorkshire County Councillor for 18 years. I am presently the Mayor of the Borough of Scarborough.

I’m absolutely delighted to have been selected as your Councillor for the Northstead Divison of North Yorkshire Council on behalf of the Labour Party. I promise to tackle the parking problems in Northstead; fight to stop the rising number of private properties used as Airbnb to prevent antisocial behaviour; and fight for much needed investment in North Bay.
