Today we launched our manifesto for the local council elections on Thursday 2 May 2019.
Labour offers a fresh start and a stronger vision for the future.
Our Conservative council has demolished the Futurist, almost ‘given away’ much of North Bay to one single developer, lent £9m for a water park, and is allowing Whitby piers to fall into disrepair. Their decisions are taken by a small group of people.
Labour will bring transparency to the council. With no large financial donors to be satisfied and only what’s best for residents to consider, we welcome scrutiny of our decisions.
Vote Labour for:
- open decision-making
- more affordable homes
- better quality of life
- community ownership and action
- green initiatives
- building the local economy
