We need to take back control of our energy supply, to invest in renewables and micro-generation, and to reform our failing economic system. Tina Davy

I have lived in Scarborough since 2012. I was born in and educated in Leeds and attended Hull University where I gained my BSc Psychology, and MSc Occupational Psychology.
I have represented people when undertaking various roles, including: Volunteer Advice Worker at Hull CAB; Branch Secretary of the Institute for Professionals Managers and Specialists, when working in the Civil Service in Sheffield ; Leeds City Councillor, and Scarborough Borough Councillor.
I have been vegetarian for over forty years, and care deeply about animal welfare, biodiversity loss, and the Climate Emergency. I am a Member of the British Psychological Society, and serve on its North East of England Branch Committee, and I am concerned about the impact of various aspects of our society on mental health – the Climate Emergency, the cost of living crisis, and misogyny, for example – if elected I would work to address these issues. We need to take back control of our energy supply, to invest in renewables and micro-generation, and to reform our failing economic system.
