Scarborough and Whitby are joining the global day of action against climate change.
In Scarborough, Hugo Fearnley, Labour Party parliamentary candidate for Scarborough and Whitby, will speak alongside representatives of the Quakers, Frack Free Scarborough and Extinction Rebellion.
Friday September 20, meeting at 11.30 at Falsgrave Clock Tower, marching along Falsgrave Road to a rally outside the Brunswick centre.
Whitby’s March to Save the World leaves the War Memorial on Langbourne Road (near the Co-op) at 11.30 am and marches to the Bandstand. There will an open stage for anyone to speak out, and also a sign competition in which prizes will be given to those with the best signs.
